Have you ever started on yet another fitness journey only to throw your hands up in defeat when the tough times hit or you don't see results fast enough? Why did you give up? I'll tell you why....you had no one to support you and encourage you when the going got tough!

How about joining a healthy living challenge group?  In this group you will find other people, just like you, who are working on their fitness and personal health daily.  They stumble and fall, just like you.  They have victories, great and small, that can encourage you along your journey.  Just like you, praise for victories and encouragement for those little hiccups along the way are truly appreciated and may be just the little nudge needed to keep taking the next step - to do the next scheduled workout - to pass on that sweet snack that's sitting there calling your name.  When one challenger falls, another is right there to help them back up and get them back on track.  When one challenger hits a goal, all challengers are there to praise the accomplishment and encourage setting the next goal.

On the first Monday of every month, there is a new challenge group starting that you can join.  Let friends help you stay accountable to the goals you have made.  Use your talent of encouragement to lift up others who are ready to make a change for a healthy lifestyle - just like you.

I Corinthians 10:31- Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. OBEY RIGHT AWAY, THE RIGHT WAY

I’ve said that to my children many, many times; as a matter of fact, just this morning I said it to my oldest two. Only this time, I was convicted myself. How many times have I looked at the kitchen counter and thought, “I really need to do the dishes,” and yet they remain there, dirty, for a few more hours (or days). UGH! What a hypocrite I’ve been in front of my children. No, they didn’t hear anyone telling me to clean the house, or know that I refused to obey the prompting and try to rationalize my disobedience with things like the following: • I don’t feel good today; I’ll do it tomorrow when I’m feeling better. • I let it go too long already. I feel overwhelmed by it, and I just can’t handle that feeling right now. • Maybe if I leave it until after my husband gets home I can make him feel sorry enough to do it for me. • I don’t want to do it now, just because! There is none that doeth good

Romans 3:12 They are all gone out of the way , they are together become unprofitable ; there is none that doeth good, no, not one . How many days do I feel that way as a stay at home mom?  Too many to count.  I'm sure there are others who can relate to this feeling of futuility while raising children for the Lord. But just as Romans continues to describe the hope possible for a person, what an encouragement that there is hope for our children as well. There is no hope for man in his natural condition, but Christ made the ultimate sacrifice to make a way for us to go to heaven.  He died for our sins and took our place of punishment; and when we accept that gift, we are made profitable to God and good in his sight again.  Becoming a parent and choosing to raise children for the Lord is a sacrifice.  A sacrifice of our time, treasure, and patience.  What makes a parent make that sacrifice?  LOVE!   Even when my kids are at their worst, I still love them and use that op
